And when that moment finally came, the tenderness in Aaron’s eyes said everything. Megan and Aaron’s story began on Bumble in 2021, when Megan drove to Ely to meet the “wilderness man” she’d been chatting with — who showed up for their first hike with an axe in his backpack. That spontaneous spark quickly turned into something real, grounded in faith, laughter, and a shared love of the outdoors.

Their proposal was perfectly them — sweet, unplanned, and a little hilarious. Aaron picked up the ring and couldn’t wait, so during a stop at his parents’ place on the way to the Cities, he set up his GoPro by the lake and dropped to one knee. They stared at each other speechless, laughing through the moment they’ll never forget.

Together, they value faith, good food, music, and simply being with one another. For their wedding, they chose spaces that felt warm and welcoming, with bright, happy colors to match the joyful atmosphere they envisioned — a day full of fun, dancing, and genuine connection.

Looking ahead, Megan and Aaron dream of a life built on faith, family, and teamwork — with a golden retriever, a home full of laughter, and future adventures together, starting with a mini-moon in Grand Marais and a warm beach honeymoon still to come.
